Gross domestic product (GDP) in the first quarter of 2021 is estimated to increase by 4.48% over the same period last year, higher than the growth rate of 3.68% in the first quarter of 2020, despite being affected by the Covid -19 in some localities shows the drastic and timely direction and administration of the Government, the Prime Minister and the efforts of all levels, sectors, people and businesses to continue the effective implementation the dual goal “both preventing pandemics and developing economy”.

On the morning of January 12, 2021, the General Statistics Office (GSO) held a Workshop on Results of the implementation of the Enhanced General Data Dissemination System (e-GDDS) in 2020 and plans for 2021. Mr. Pham Quang Vinh – Deputy General Director of GSO, Head of the Inter-sectoral Working Group on Civil Affairs chaired the workshop. Attending the workshop were representatives of relevant ministries and branches and leaders of units under GSO.
