I. ECONOMIC SITUATION

Regarding the structure of the economy in the first 6 months of 2021, the agriculture, forestry and fishery sector accounts for 12.15%; industry and construction accounted for 37.61%; service sector accounted for 41.13%; product tax minus product subsidies accounted for 9.11% (corresponding structure of the same period in 2020 is: 14.16%; 33.51%; 41.99%; 10.34%).

The winter-spring rice cultivation area nationwide this year reached 3,006.7 thousand hectares, equaling 99.4% of the previous year's winter-spring crop, of which the northern provinces reached 1,086.6 thousand hectares, equaling 99%; the southern localities reached 1,920.1 thousand hectares, equaling 99.7%. According to preliminary reports, the country's winter-spring rice yield is estimated at 68.3 quintals/ha, an increase of 2.6 quintals/ha compared to the previous year's winter-spring crop.
As of mid-June, localities across the country have sown 1,846.2 thousand hectares of summer-autumn rice, equaling 105.6% of the same period last year, of which the Mekong Delta region reached 1,448.7 thousand hectares. , equal to 104.7%.
